• What’s better for me, third party liability or comprehensive car insurance in Qatar?

  We cannot tell what is the best fit for you. It all depends on your car insurance needs. A comprehensive policy provides you with maximum coverage, insuring both your liability and possible car damages. A TPL policy is a basic package that is cheaper but only covers others against damages and losses caused by you. Keep in mind that third party liability insurance in Qatar is compulsory. It’s a minimum legal requirement to drive on public roads. Also, comprehensive insurance is often required for leased cars.

• I have a new and expensive automobile. Is it better to go for comprehensive insurance rather than TPL?

  Yes. comprehensive insurance cover is highly recommended for new cars, expensive and special cars. It’s also a good choice for beginners, and for car owners who drive in busy places and main roads, and all other drivers as well. For comparison, TPL is less expensive but doesn’t cover any possible damage to your car.

• Can I get a quotation and buy the car insurance later?

  Yes you can apply for car insurance online using our premium calculator (need to fill in your mobile number to proceed) and then buy the insurance later. After you get a motor insurance quotation on our site, you can visit one of our offices—we have 9 branches in Qatar. If you come in person, you can actually use the quote number you’ve been given when you applied the first time.

• Do I need to scan and submit any paperwork after buying my vehicle insurance online?

  No. QIC is a digital insurance company, and the entire car insurance purchasing process on our website is fully digital, instant and paperless. You can get a car quote or buy third party or comprehensive insurance online without ever leaving your home.

• How to buy car insurance online in Qatar?

  If you buy car insurance online on our website or the QIC app, you can pay with Apple Pay, credit, or debit card. You also can get a vehicle insurance quote online and finish the purchase in one of our offices.

  Our head office is located in West Bay, Doha, plus we have branches in Villaggio Mall, Landmark Mall, City Center Mall, Barwa Commercial Avenue, Ezdan Mall in Al Wakrah, Lulu Al Messila, Al Khor, and Doha Festival City. If you need to visit, you can choose one of our offices near you. For your convenience, we have QIC car insurance offices located right at FAHES vehicle inspection stations: Wadi Al Banat, Al Mazrouah, Al Egda (Al Khor), Mesaimeer, Shahaniya, Al Wakrah, Al Wukair.
